Nanami West, Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
Nanami (she/her) is dedicated to creating a therapy space that gives you a sense of security and hope.
Everyone deserves a safe space to feel cared about. Nanami meets and connects with clients where they are. Her goal is for you to feel less alone—to enrich your inner strengths and feel love.
Nanami is a first-generation immigrant from Japan. In her career, she has worked with those with special needs, various cultural backgrounds, and mental illness in academic and vocational settings.
She works with individuals, couples, and families with special emphasis in intergenerational trauma, expat families, children with special needs, adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families, interracial relationships, and cultural adjustment. She also facilitates group therapy for Japanese individuals who live abroad.
Nanami’s therapeutic framework integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), solution-focused, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy.
In her free time, Nanami enjoys doing pilates, cooking, exploring nature with my dogs, reading, and crocheting.
