About my approach
Warm, responsive, and client-centered. I help clients better understand themselves, navigate difficult emotions, and build practical tools for everyday life. Together, we create space for insight, emotional healing, and meaningful change.
What clients say
Clients often describe feeling supported, understood, and gently challenged in our work together. I strive to create a space where people feel genuinely cared for while also helping them grow and move forward.
Guiding idea / Point of therapy
“It is the relationship that heals.” — Irvin D. Yalom
I believe the whole point of therapy is to create a safe space where people can explore their experiences honestly, feel less alone in what they are carrying, and build the insight and tools needed to move forward.
Tools & frameworks I use
CBT • Narrative Therapy • Somatic / Mind-Body • Mindfulness • Polyvagal-informed care
What you can expect
I ask thoughtful questions, respond authentically, and create a space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences openly. Our work together will focus on helping you feel more connected to yourself while building practical tools to navigate everyday challenges.
If you’re nervous to start…
It’s okay and normal to feel nervous. We can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Outside of the therapy room
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog and family, going on walks, and getting lost in a good fantasy book. My experiences as a Black woman raised in predominantly white spaces, being raised by a single mother, and my Ethiopian Orthodox background all shape the way I connect with and support clients.
Note: If you’re in crisis or need immediate support, call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
