Landon Wigg, Professional Counseling Intern
Landon (he/him) believes we are all a kid at heart and can continue to grow throughout our lives.
Landon enjoys working with youth and adults, especially queer folks. His whole career has been involved in helping the youth build stronger social and emotional skills, and is excited to broaden his experience and start working with more adults and families. He believes we are all a kid at heart and can learn a lot from how we grew up to heal our inner child and mature healthily and happily.
Landon works from an Existential-Humanistic lens to help clients reclaim their life and to find more meaning and fulfillment. He provides a warm, accepting, and genuine space for clients to explore and get in touch more with their authentic self. He also incorporates aspects from Reality Therapy, Relational Cultural Therapy, and REBT to further connect with clients and provide the attention they deserve. Landon works with clients with a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity and gender expressions, and more.
Landon grew up in the Virginia Beach area and earned their B.S. degree in Psychology at VCU. He is currently enrolled at GWU to earn his master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He has lived in the DC area for over 5 years now and loves being a part of the community. Previously, Landon has worked with the youth in DC through City Year and currently works at Children’s National Hospital as a Child Psych Specialist. In his free time, Landon likes to express his creativity through video games, music, and making pixel art, as well as playing with his 3 cats.

“I want clients to leave each session feeling heard—and with something they can actually use. Therapy should be a space for real growth, not just reflection.”
