About my approach
I'm curious, sincere, and collaborative, with a splash of creativity. I will challenge you when you let me. I don't strictly stick to any one modality. To me, therapy is more about the relationship and the space we create together. What interventions you need is more important than what I am trained in.
Guiding idea / Point of therapy
My goal is to help you unpack your environment. Symptoms can be adaptive responses to environmental stressors. My job as a therapist is to help you see where you are, understand how you got here, and develop a life narrative that better aligns with the person you want to become. Ultimately, I want to help you love yourself more and become more comfortable with vulnerability.
Tools & frameworks I use
CBT • DBT • Mindfulness
What you can expect in a session with me
Expect refreshing questions, and random (but hopefully inspirational) metaphors and fun facts woven into our sessions.
If you're nervous to start…
Just come. You don't have to know exactly what to say. Your nervousness can be our opening topic. It's my job to help you feel comfortable with therapy, hopefully by the fourth session.
A belief that shapes my work
"Emotions are messengers. Sit with them, let them talk. You'll learn something new about yourself." — Sani
Outside of therapy you'll find me…
Working toward hitting the gym four times a week and reading 100 books a year.
Note: If you're in crisis or need immediate support, call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
